A scheme involving fake medical certificates for travel abroad was uncovered in the Ternopil region
Officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with representatives of the National Police, have dismantled a corruption scheme involving the production of fake medical documents.
This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.
The organizer of the illegal activity turned out to be an official who facilitated evasion of mobilization and provided conditions for men of draft age to illegally cross the state border.
The operation and arrest were carried out by officers of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment together with specialists from the Migration Police Department and investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Ternopil region.
The investigation established that the perpetrator had set up a systematic production of forged documents that provided fictitious grounds for removal from military registration.
For his “services,” the official set a fixed price of $5,000 per client.
Receiving these funds guaranteed the client a complete set of documents necessary for unimpeded departure from Ukraine under martial law.
During authorized searches, law enforcement officers discovered and seized a significant amount of documentation that serves as crucial evidence for the criminal proceedings.
All seized materials are currently being examined by experts to identify the full circle of individuals who managed to use the illegal channel.
As a reminder, schemes to “circumvent” mobilization worth nearly 1.3 million UAH have been uncovered.
Entrepreneurs who transferred 28 million hryvnias to Slovakia for drones were also exposed.
