A scheme involving the import of tractors from China was uncovered in the Ternopil region
In the Ternopil region, customs officials uncovered violations involving the import of agricultural machinery from China. According to the investigation, the true value of the tractors was concealed from customs authorities, resulting in violations totaling more than 143 million hryvnias.
The equipment in question was imported into Ukraine between 2024 and 2025. To verify the documents, customs officials contacted Chinese customs authorities and obtained the export declarations from the shipping companies.
After cross-checking the documents, it was found that the declared value of the tractors differed significantly from the actual value. The total discrepancy exceeded 941 thousand U.S. dollars.
Based on these findings, customs officials drew up 12 reports for concealing goods from customs control by submitting false documents. The case materials were also forwarded to law enforcement agencies to investigate possible signs of smuggling.
