In Volyn, the head of the Traffic Control Center will stand trial on bribery charges
An indictment has been filed against a 32-year-old head of one of the regional recruitment and social support centers in Volyn.
According to investigators, he received $7,000 for arranging a fictitious temporary medical exemption from military service for a conscript.
Investigators claim that to carry out the scheme, medical documents with fabricated diagnoses were prepared without the required medical examinations being conducted. After receiving the money, the official allegedly arranged for the conscript to undergo a military medical examination, had the corresponding conclusion issued, and entered the data into the “Oberig” registry.
The defendant is charged with receiving an unlawful benefit under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court had previously suspended him from office, imposed a preventive measure, and seized his vehicle and funds.

In Kyiv, a 31-year-old man was notified that he is suspected of murdering a 55-year-old female doctor on the military medical commission. According to the investigation, he inflicted approximately 17 stab wounds on the woman after learning that he had been deemed fit for military service.
A servicemember, whose body was discovered on the morning of August 1 in the premises of the First Department of the Yavoriv District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support in the city of Mostyska, Lviv Oblast, died, according to preliminary data, as a result of hanging.
