Zelenskyy dismissed Stefanishyna from her post as Ukraine's ambassador to the U.S.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree dismissing Olga Stefanishyna from her post as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States.
The head of state made this decision as part of personnel changes within Ukraine’s diplomatic mission.
“To dismiss Olga Vitaliivna Stefanishyna from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States of America,” the decree states.
No decree has yet been issued appointing a new Ukrainian ambassador to the U.S.
This was reported with reference to the relevant decree issued by the Ukrainian head of state.
We previously reported that Stefanishyna denied rumors of her resignation from the post of ambassador to the U.S.
At the same time, the media continue to discuss potential candidates for her position, including Rustem Umerov and Yulia Svyrydenko. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally confirmed that he had offered Yulia Svyrydenko the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States. However, she declined the offer.
