Queues have grown at Ukraine's western border: passenger traffic has exceeded 730,000
Between July 4 and 10, passenger traffic through checkpoints on Ukraine’s western border increased by 1.2% to 734,000 people. At the same time, the number of citizens leaving the country rose from 348,000 to 365,000, leading to longer lines on certain routes.
However, the number of border crossings for entry and exit was nearly equal. According to the State Border Guard Service, the number of people leaving Ukraine rose from 348,000 to 365,000, while the number of entries fell from 377,000 to 369,000.
At the same time, 139,000 vehicles passed through the checkpoints, compared to 138,000 a week earlier, and the number of vehicles carrying humanitarian aid decreased from 434 to 371.
As of 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, the largest number of passenger cars—40—were waiting to cross the border with Poland at the Krakivets checkpoint.
