MP Medianyk Lives in a $1 Million Mansion Registered in the Name of His Nanny — Media Reports
Vyacheslav Medyanik, a member of parliament from the “Servant of the People” party, lives in an undeclared luxury estate near Kyiv worth about $1 million.
Journalists discovered that the expensive property is officially registered to a woman who previously worked as a nanny for the politician’s family.
The luxurious house, with an area of about 370 square meters, is located in the gated community “Khutir Yasny” in the village of Khodosivka.
Officially, the lawmaker’s family owns only a 100-meter apartment in the clubhouse there, which was registered in 2024 in the name of his young daughter. It is this residence that the lawmaker diligently reports in his annual financial disclosures.
However, investigators have documented that a 2024 Porsche Cayenne, owned by the lawmaker’s wife, Inna Medianyk, leaves in the morning not from an apartment building but from the grounds of a separate private estate.
According to the official real estate registry, in June 2021, Nelya Kovalenko, a resident of Dnipro, became the owner of this estate. Prior to this, she had never been involved in any business activities.
Shortly before purchasing this expensive property, Kovalenko unexpectedly became a co-founder of the company “Antar Plus,” where Vyacheslav Medyanyk himself was one of the business partners.
In addition, in the GetContact phone database, this woman is listed as “Nella, Inna’s nanny,” “Medyanik, Nella’s nanny,” and “Housewife in Lisnyky.”
The MP himself assured the press that he lives with his family exclusively in the apartment he has declared.
He explained the regular departures of the luxury car from the private estate by saying that the owner allows them to leave the vehicle there in case of shelling or missile attacks.
The politician stated that he is on friendly terms with Nelya Kovalenko and described her as “a mature and self-sufficient person.”
“As for her income and everything else… It would be inappropriate for me to ask her about that. If you look at her work history, she worked in Dnipro at large enterprises, at paint and varnish factories, at a plant… She handled logistics there,” Medianyk said.
