Japan's Deputy Ministers of Economy and Foreign Affairs have arrived in Kyiv
Kenji Yamada, Japan’s Vice Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, and Ayano Kunimitsu, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, have arrived in Kyiv on an official working visit.
The Japanese officials will hold a series of important meetings aimed at demonstrating unwavering solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
The main purpose of the foreign delegation’s visit is to strengthen bilateral cooperation and coordinate further steps toward Ukraine’s recovery.
The Japanese government representatives began their visit by paying tribute to the fallen Ukrainian defenders in the capital.
They visited the city’s historic center to personally pay tribute to those who gave their lives for the country’s freedom and independence.
The diplomats held a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the walls of one of Ukraine’s most famous churches. This symbolic gesture underscores the deep respect that the Japanese government has for the Ukrainian people’s struggle.
The rest of the visit’s agenda includes intensive talks with Ukrainian government officials.
“Today, Vice Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Yamada and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kunimitsu are visiting Kyiv. They laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance near St. Michael’s Monastery and will express Japan’s strong support for Ukraine during their meetings,” the Japanese diplomatic mission noted.
