The National Bank has extended the cash withdrawal limits in Ukraine and abroad
Effective July 1, 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine will maintain the current restrictions on cash withdrawals from bank cards.
These measures remain in effect to ensure the stability of the financial system under martial law.
A daily cash withdrawal limit of 100,000 hryvnias (or the equivalent) has been established throughout Ukraine, regardless of the account currency.
It should be noted that no restrictions apply to non-cash transactions in the national currency.
Special rules apply to cards issued by Ukrainian banks that are used abroad.
Holders of hryvnia cards can withdraw up to 12,500 hryvnias per week from ATMs, and the limit for non-cash payments for goods or services is 100,000 hryvnias per month.
For foreign-currency cards issued by Ukrainian financial institutions, the limit on cash withdrawals at ATMs is set at 100,000 hryvnias per day.
Separate limits of 100,000 hryvnias per month apply to the purchase of jewelry, coins, stamps, or precious stones.
There is also a limit on payments to real estate agents abroad—no more than 500,000 hryvnias per month.
Other transactions at retail chains outside the country using foreign currency cards are carried out without any additional restrictions.
At the same time, commercial banks have the right to set their own internal limits, which may vary depending on the type of card or financial monitoring requirements.
For example, PrivatBank has set a limit of up to 40,000 hryvnias over a three-hour period, with a total daily maximum of 100,000 hryvnias.
Oschadbank customers have a standard daily limit of 10,000 hryvnias for mass-market cards, but these settings can be changed via the bank’s app.
At a single ATM of this institution, you can withdraw no more than 25,000 hryvnias in three hours.
At Monobank, limits vary depending on the card type, allowing customers to withdraw up to 100,000 hryvnias per day from both “black” and “white” cards.
Users of this bank can withdraw cash without a fee at the teller windows of partner institutions, such as A-Bank or Ukrgasbank.
