The National Police is switching to an enhanced operational mode for Easter

During the Easter holidays, the National Police will be operating on high alert.

Patrols will be stationed near areas with large crowds, and random checks may be conducted to ensure public order and safety.

Yulia Girdvilis, spokesperson for the National Police of Ukraine, told RBC-Ukraine about this.

"Our key task is to ensure law and order and the safety of citizens in areas with large crowds, primarily near churches, on streets, and on highways," she emphasized.

Girdvilis added that police units are stationed as close as possible to the sites of religious services. If necessary, preventive measures may be taken, including random surface checks, solely to prevent provocations and ensure public safety.

"At the same time, we emphasize: under martial law, the threat remains real, regardless of holidays or dates. Therefore, we urge citizens not to ignore air raid sirens, to comply with established restrictions, and to assist police officers in performing their duties," noted the National Police spokesperson.

Girdvilis also urged all Ukrainians to be vigilant and, if they discover any suspicious items—such as abandoned bags, backpacks, suitcases, etc.—to report such findings by calling 102.
