Germany is investing over €10 million in the development of military training centers in Ukraine — ZDF
The German government will allocate more than 10 million euros to develop the infrastructure of military training facilities directly within Ukraine.
This is reported by ZDF.
This investment is part of a large-scale European Union initiative aimed at strengthening the long-term combat capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
German Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius has officially confirmed Berlin’s participation in this project.
According to him, the allocated funds will allow for the creation of a modern training base for personnel, ensuring the sustainable operation of fully-fledged military institutions.
The main goal of developing such centers is to maintain a high level of defense capability for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the long term.
Germany aims to create conditions under which the Ukrainian army can maintain professional standards and training even after the active phase of hostilities has ended.
Berlin views the creation of a domestic training network in Ukraine as a strategic step toward integrating the Ukrainian military into the European security system.
Thanks to German funding, the necessary training grounds, classrooms, and living quarters for cadets and instructors will be built.
In parallel with the development of infrastructure within Ukraine, Germany continues its training programs on its own territory.
At German training grounds, Ukrainian soldiers are mastering modern Western equipment, combat tactics, and medical aid skills.
To date, nearly 27,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully completed training courses in Germany.
The training process continues uninterrupted, covering both new recruits and experienced officers who are undergoing advanced training according to NATO standards.
