Germany to Deliver Over 30 Interceptor Missiles for Patriot Systems
Germany, together with its NATO partners, has assembled a new military aid package that includes a critical batch of air defense missiles for Patriot systems, Spiegel reports.
Thanks to the efforts of German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, approximately 30 modern PAC-3 interceptor missileshave been acquired. These munitions are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
The initiative has received support from several European allies, who have agreed to contribute portions of their own stockpiles. Together with the missiles provided directly by Berlin from the Bundeswehr’s reserves, the total shipment will amount to roughly 35 units.
It should be recalled that Israel used more Patriot missiles in a single week than Ukraine has received over the past four years.
Meanwhile, Russia has reportedly adjusted its missile strike tactics as part of an effort to exhaust Ukraine’s Patriot missile stocks.
