Sentence handed down to administrator of Telegram channel for draft dodgers

A court in Poltava has sentenced a man for sharing information about the work of the TCC on Telegram.

This was reported by the Podilsky District Court of Poltava.

On June 3, 2025, the court found a local resident guilty of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the case file, during the fall of 2024 and early 2025, the defendant repeatedly posted the exact coordinates of mobile groups of the TCC and SP in a chat with 22,000 participants. Specifically, this involved checkpoints near the Poltava bus station and in the “Sady-2” and “Ognivka” neighborhoods. The investigation established that these actions helped conscripts evade mobilization measures, which negatively impacted the staffing of Russian Armed Forces units.

The defendant fully admitted his guilt and entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor. The court sentenced him to 5 years of imprisonment, replacing it with a 2-year probationary period. Additionally, the mobile phone used to commit the offense was confiscated and turned over to the state. 

The Darnytskyi District Court of Kyiv sentenced the administrator of the Telegram channel “Povistki” to a suspended sentence.

Earlier in Kyiv, police invited representatives from the military registration and enlistment office to an event attended by drivers who enjoy loud drifting; these representatives handed out draft notices to the young men.
