One person was injured in a car explosion in Kharkiv
A car exploded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, triggering a fire. A pedestrian was injured in the incident.
The Kharkiv Regional Police reported this on Facebook.
“At around 8:50 p.m., the police received a report of a car explosion near a supermarket on Peremohy Avenue. The explosion caused a fire,” the statement said.
A pedestrian born in 1988 was injured. The man was hospitalized.
As noted, an investigative team and police bomb squad were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The fire was contained. Law enforcement officers are examining the scene, identifying witnesses, and determining the circumstances of the explosion.
