A Special September 1: Police Officers Escorted the Daughter of a Deceased Colleague to School
On September 1, nine-year-old Polina started fourth grade, accompanied by her mother and colleagues of her late father—Police Captain Yevhen Holota. Law enforcement officers met the girl near her home, gave her school gifts, and drove her to her first class.
Yevhen Holota was killed in October 2025 in the Donetsk region while on a combat mission. The police officer sustained a fatal wound during enemy artillery fire.
Yevhen served in law enforcement for 12 years, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined a special-purpose police rifle battalion. Last October, he was killed in the Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission.
On September 1, juvenile police officers met Polina near her home, congratulated her on the start of the school year, gave her school supplies, and escorted her to school. The police officers remain in contact with the family of their fallen colleague and assist them as needed.
