Five regions were left without power following Russian attacks
As of the morning of August 11, some consumers in five regions of Ukraine were left without power due to new Russian shelling. In the Odesa region, grid restrictions remain in place following an attack that occurred on the night of August 9.
"As a result of Russian shelling, there are new power outages this morning in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. Emergency repair work is underway wherever safety conditions permit," the statement said.
In addition, restoration work is continuing in the Odesa region. Power companies have already restored power to nearly all consumers; however, due to equipment overload, regional power companies are having to implement grid restrictions to prevent outages.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, electricity consumption was 8.7% higher than the previous day. This is due to rising air temperatures in most regions of Ukraine, which is prompting consumers to use air conditioners on a large scale.
Ukrenergo advises shifting peak energy consumption to the period when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently—from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., energy conservation is necessary. In the Odesa region, the need for rational energy consumption persists around the clock.

In Kyiv, a children’s infectious diseases hospital and a gas pipeline were damaged as a result of an attack by the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the General Staff confirmed a strike on the TANECO oil refinery in Tatarstan.
As a reminder, a gas station and a factory were damaged in the Poltava region as a result of a Russian attack.
In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
