On Thursday, August 13, variable cloudiness and a gradual easing of the heat are forecast for Ukraine. Meteorologists do not expect any precipitation.

A northwesterly wind with speeds of 7–12 m/s is expected across Ukraine. 

Overnight temperatures will range from 8–13°, and in the south, from 14–19°. During the day, temperatures will reach 21–26°, and in Zakarpattia, the air will warm up to 30°.

In the capital and the surrounding region, variable cloudiness with no precipitation is forecast. The wind will be from the northwest at 7–12 m/s.

In the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures will range from 8–13°, and daytime temperatures from 21–26°. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures are expected to be 11–13°, and daytime temperatures 23–25°.

Earlier, it was reported that an emergency power outage occurred in Lviv due to the abnormal heat, leaving part of the city without power.

According to city authorities, an accident occurred in the 110 kV grid on August 6. As a result, power was partially cut off to consumers in central Lviv, the Frankivsk district, and the Novyi Lviv neighborhood.

The outage also caused potential disruptions to public transit. Emergency crews from “Lvivoblenergo” promptly began addressing the aftermath of the accident.

This was reported by the “Ukrhydrometcenter.”

According to the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the average monthly air temperature in Kyiv in July was 20.8°C, which is 0.5°C below the climatic norm.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a warning about temperatures reaching 38° and a fire hazard.
