Weather in Ukraine on March 31: March ends with rain and unseasonably warm temperatures
The last day of March 2026 brought wet but fairly warm weather to Ukraine.
Precipitation of varying intensity is observed in almost all regions of the country, though temperatures remain high, reaching +18° in some places.
In the capital, March is ending with cloudy skies and intermittent rain.
The air temperature in Kyiv has risen noticeably compared to the previous day: nighttime readings remained at +8°, and during the day, thermometers will rise to a comfortable +15°...+16°.
Forecasters note a significant drop in atmospheric pressure, which stands at just 738 mm Hg.
This may affect the well-being of weather-sensitive individuals. Winds in the capital remain moderate, shifting directions at a speed of 5–8 m/s.
Western regions are the coldest in the country today. In Lviv, Lutsk, and Ivano-Frankivsk, daytime temperatures will not exceed +8°, accompanied by heavy cloud cover and rain.
It is slightly warmer in Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Uzhhorod, where the air has warmed up to +10°C.
Central and southern regions are seeing milder temperatures.
In Odesa, Kherson, and Mykolaiv, daytime temperatures are expected to be around +13°, while in Cherkasy and Kropyvnytskyi, thermometers will show up to +15°. In Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, light rain is forecast with temperatures of +14°...+16°.
The highest temperatures on March 31 will be recorded in eastern and northeastern Ukraine.
In Kharkiv and Poltava, the air will warm up to +17°, while in Sumy and Severodonetsk, thermometers will reach +18°. Despite the high temperatures, these regions will also see rain clouds.
