An official from the Lviv region is suspected of causing a traffic accident that occurred a year ago
Mykola Pushchak, first deputy head of the Solonka community, has been notified that he is a suspect in a case involving a traffic accident that occurred a year ago in the Lviv district.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Absolution Leaks.
According to investigators, on June 2, 2025, while driving a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 at an uncontrolled intersection in the village of Zubra while exiting onto the Kyiv–Chop highway, the official failed to yield to a BMW 530D traveling on the main road. As a result of the collision, the 21-year-old BMW driver sustained moderate injuries.
The suspect’s actions were classified under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
After the collision, the person responsible for the accident, Mykola Pushchak, fled the scene. Even before charges were filed, Mykola Pushchak linked the actions of law enforcement to revenge by community leader Bohdan Dubnevych.
The accident occurred on the night of June 2–3, around midnight, on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Zubra. Mykola Pushchak caused the accident while driving a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 crossover, which was not listed in his declaration. Investigators opened a criminal case regarding the accident, and Mykola Pushchak has only now been charged.
In November 2023, Pushchak was detained while driving the same vehicle under the influence of alcohol; however, the Pustomyty District Court dismissed the case due to the absence of an administrative offense.
The Ombudsman’s Office took an interest in the traffic accident in Volyn involving the deputy mayor.

In Kharkiv, police investigators launched a pre-trial investigation into a traffic accident involving Ivan Kuznetsov, the deputy mayor for city services, which resulted in a fatality. While the investigation was underway, the official announced his resignation.
