President signs law to increase childbirth allowance to UAH 50 thousand

The President of Ukraine has signed a new law that will increase the amount of state aid at the birth of a child to UAH 50,000. This decision also provides for the introduction of new forms of state support for families. The draft law is already available in the card on the Verkhovna Rada website.

The childbirth allowance of UAH 50 thousand will be paid for each child if two or more children are born in a family. One of the parents or a guardian permanently residing with the child will be eligible for this payment. In addition, the law provides for new types of assistance, in particular for parents caring for children under one year of age, as well as support for single mothers and pregnant women if they have no other sources of income.

This law is an important step in supporting families with children in Ukraine by easing the financial burden on young families and encouraging fertility. The government plans to implement these programs in the near future.
