Weather forecast for March 23: The March sun will warm Ukraine up to 16 degrees
On March 23, Ukraine will see dry and mostly sunny weather due to the influence of a high-pressure system.
Despite daytime warming, forecasters warn that nighttime temperatures will remain low, which is typical for early spring.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center and forecaster Natalka Didenko, residents of most regions can expect comfortable daytime temperatures. However, the difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures will remain significant.
In most regions, daytime temperatures will rise to +10...+14 degrees.
It will be warmest in the southern regions, where the air will warm up to +16 degrees in some places, while in the northeast it will be slightly cooler—from +8 to +12 degrees.
Forecasters note that the spring sun is already quite strong, but the nighttime chill has not yet subsided. Overnight, temperatures will range from 3 degrees below freezing to 4 degrees above freezing.
“Don’t forget that the nights are still chilly, ranging from 3° below freezing to 4° above freezing tonight, so the air will still be crisp in the morning and a warm scarf won’t go amiss,” warned Natalka Didenko.
Partly cloudy skies are expected in Kyiv today, though forecasters do not predict significant precipitation. Daytime temperatures in the city itself will range from +10 to +12 degrees, creating favorable conditions for walks.
Within the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures may drop to 2 degrees below freezing, while daytime temperatures will rise to +13 degrees. The morning chill will require Kyiv residents to wear appropriate layered clothing to stay warm.
The absence of rain and light winds will contribute to the gradual warming of the soil. This is important for the agricultural sector, where spring processes are already ahead of the usual schedule.
In the coming days, the warming trend will only intensify, although short-term temperature fluctuations remain possible.
The weather situation is expected to remain stable due to high atmospheric pressure.
According to preliminary forecasts, the peak of the warm spell will occur in the middle of the workweek. Thursday is expected to be the fairest and warmest day, with air temperatures reaching true May levels.
“Thursday is tentatively expected to be the warmest day of the coming week—with daytime temperatures of +12 to +18 degrees,” the meteorologist reported in her forecast.
As a reminder, in early March 2026, Ukraine will see signs of spring weather, though a sharp rise in temperatures is not expected.
Also, forecaster Natalka Didenko reported on March 22, 2026, that the following day, mostly clear skies with no precipitation will prevail in most regions of Ukraine.
