The design for the Heavenly Hundred Heroes Memorial has been approved in Ukraine
On June 20, Ukraine approved a plan to create a memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, turning the long-standing hopes of the families of the victims and participants in the Revolution of Dignity into a concrete reality. The initiative is entering a new phase, paving the way to honor the memory of those who died during the Maidan events in an officially approved format.
This was announced by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to him, participants in the public hearings—including experts, architects, and the families of the fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred—approved the design of the National Memorial Complex and the future museum exhibition.
“Ukraine is finally beginning construction of the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity and the Memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. We must do this quickly and professionally. This is our duty to the memory of the fallen Heroes,” Budanov emphasized.
The future memorial will serve as a fitting space to honor the heroic deeds of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, which significantly influenced the formation of the modern Ukrainian nation and have become an integral part of Ukrainian identity.
The Head of the Presidential Office stressed that it is precisely this identity that Ukrainians continue to defend today on the battlefield, safeguarding their right to determine their own future and live in an independent state.
“This memorial is a token of gratitude from the Ukrainian people to the Heroes for their heroic deeds, which have become part of the very core of our nation,” he added.
According to him, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed that this project be implemented as a matter of priority.
“The Heavenly Hundred Heroes Memorial is to become a place of remembrance, dignity, and strength—a place where every future generation of Ukrainians will be able to understand the price of our freedom,” Budanov concluded on Telegram.
