The death toll among children has risen in a traffic accident involving a bus and a car in Brovary
In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, the number of children killed and injured has risen following a collision between a passenger car and a bus that occurred on June 19. The updated figures were reported the following day—the circumstances of the accident and the condition of the victims are still being determined.
Yesterday at 7:54 p.m., the Brovary District Emergency Service received a report of a traffic accident in Brovary on Vokzalna Street. Rescuers from the 56th State Fire and Rescue Unit in Brovary were dispatched to the scene, according to a statement from the State Emergency Service.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a passenger car and a bus had collided. Rescuers then extricated the victims from the vehicle.
“At the time of the accident, there were 12 people in the passenger car, including 9 children and 3 adults. As a result of the accident, two children were killed, and 10 others sustained injuries of varying severity,” the State Emergency Service reported.
