The fare on minibuses running between Kyiv and Brovary has risen to 50 hryvnias
Starting today, March 23, 2026, passengers on the popular route from the "Lisova" metro station to Brovary were in for an unpleasant surprise.
The one-way fare has risen to 50 hryvnias, causing significant outrage among local residents.
A sharp rise in fares has been observed throughout the current year. Back in early January, a ride on this minibus cost 35 hryvnias, but by February 1, the price had already been raised to 40 hryvnias.
Thus, in less than two months, the cost of the trip “skyrocketed” by 15 hryvnias.
For most passengers, today’s fare increase came as a complete surprise due to a lack of proper communication.
Although the information appeared yesterday in two local publications, many people simply did not have time to read it before heading to work.
Particular dissatisfaction stems from the fact that there are also no announcements about the new fares inside the buses themselves.
Passengers are forced to ask drivers directly for the current fare when paying, which creates tense situations.
As a reminder, bus fares in Lviv may increase.
Additionally, as of March 23, 2026, another fuel price increase has been recorded at the largest gas station chains in Ukraine.
