The Rada ratified an agreement on long-term cooperation with Albania
The Verkhovna Rada has passed a law ratifying the Agreement on Long-Term Cooperation and Support between Ukraine and the Republic of Albania.
271 members of parliament voted in favor of the corresponding legislative initiative No. 0357.
The document formalizes the mechanisms for long-term cooperation between the countries and opens the possibility for Ukraine to receive support for 10 years in the following areas:
- military
- intelligence
- financial
- humanitarian
- political
According to the provisions of the agreement, it enters into force following the exchange of diplomatic notes confirming the completion of all necessary domestic procedures by both parties.
Thus, once the ratification procedures are completed, the document will serve as the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership between Ukraine and Albania.
As a reminder, Ukraine continues to actively work with the United States at all levels—from the White House to American businesses and civil society organizations. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this after a meeting with an American delegation in Kyiv.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Kyiv with representatives of the German delegation, during which the main focus was on strengthening air defense and protecting Ukraine from Russian attacks. They also discussed new formats of security cooperation and the development of defense technologies.
