Rubio stated that the U.S. will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine through NATO
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States has no plans to halt arms deliveries to Ukraine through NATO under the PURL program.

Minister Lavrov, during today’s meeting with Rubio in Manila, emphasized that the U.S. “must stop arming Ukraine.”
In response, Rubio, commenting to reporters on the Russian official’s remarks, stated that the U.S. does not provide weapons to Ukraine but rather sells them through the PURL program:
“That is exactly what we are doing [selling weapons to Ukraine through NATO under the PURL program], and our policy on this has not changed,” the U.S. Secretary of State emphasized.
Conditions for Peace and the U.S.’s Constructive Role
Assessing diplomatic progress toward ending hostilities, Rubio noted that a single meeting in Manila is not enough for a breakthrough, but he confirmed the White House’s readiness to facilitate a just resolution.
“To achieve this, we will need something that both Russia and Ukraine can agree on. The U.S. President has made it clear that we are ready to play a constructive role in ending this senseless war,” the head of U.S. diplomacy added.
Rubio made these remarks during a conversation with the media.
Rubio emphasized the need for new ideas to bring peace to Ukraine.
Earlier, Sergey Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia—the aggressor state—stated that he would meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) events in the Philippines.
As a reminder, Russia, the aggressor state, is ready to return to negotiations with Ukraine only after seizing the entire territory of the Donetsk region, Bloomberg reports, citing two sources close to the Kremlin.
