Video: In the Khmelnytskyi region, police handcuffed a man to a car

In the village of Lehnivka in the Khmelnytskyi region, authorities are investigating reports that employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center may have exceeded their authority during mobilization efforts. 

According to the victim’s son, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, his 61-year-old father was allegedly handcuffed to a car and subjected to physical force and tear gas.

As reported by Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, the man sought medical attention for his injuries. The Ombudsman’s Office has already sent a request to the State Bureau of Investigation, the Military Law Enforcement Service, the Ministry of Defense, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Lubinec stated that he is personally overseeing the case. The Military Law Enforcement Service has also been called upon to conduct an internal investigation into possible abuses of authority by TCC employees. If violations are confirmed, those responsible will be held accountable.

As a reminder, Lubinets stated that the investigation into the Skelya Regiment is still ongoing, but a case has already been opened.
