The SBU is conducting searches at the National Securities Commission

On the morning of June 3, the Security Service of Ukraine is conducting searches at the National Securities and Stock Market Commission. According to sources in the market and within the commission itself, the investigative actions may be related to an investigation into joint investment institutions and old documents. Simultaneously, searches are also taking place at the residence of one of the regulator’s former members.

According to sources, law enforcement officials are searching for documents related to specific joint investment institutions, though the exact entities involved in the case have not been officially disclosed. Currently, this involves a criminal proceeding being investigated by the SBU, which mentions a former member of the NSSMC who worked during Ruslan Magomedov’s tenure as head of the regulator.

Sources note that searches are taking place not only at the Securities and Stock Market Commission’s offices but also at the former official’s residence. At the same time, there is no official confirmation or detailed comment regarding the status of the case as of yet.

The editorial team contacted the SBU and the NSSMC with a request regarding the reasons and grounds for the investigative actions, but as of the time of publication, no responses have been received. They promise to publish them immediately upon receiving the official positions of the parties. This was reported to EP by sources in the market and within the Commission itself.
