Strict restrictions have been imposed at gas stations in Mariupol due to a fuel shortage

The fuel crisis is worsening in the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol and other seized territories of Donetsk Oblast. Some gas stations have already run out of gasoline, and where it is still available, sales are subject to restrictions or require ration cards.

According to available information, fuel shortages have been reported at gas stations operated by the so-called “Republican Fuel Company, which is under the control of the occupying administration.

In particular, sales limits have already been imposed on AI-95 gasoline. From now on, a single driver is allowed no more than 30 liters of fuel per fill-up.

“The fuel crisis is escalating in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. At some gas stations, gasoline is already out of stock or is being sold only with ration cards, the report states.

In addition, local Telegram channels report that the occupying authorities have allegedly issued an unofficial order to restrict ambulance dispatches unless the call is critically urgent. The reason cited for this decision is the need to conserve fuel.

One of the possible causes of the fuel shortage is said to be strikes by Ukrainian drones on freight transport on the route between Crimea and the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

This transport artery passes through Mariupol and is one of the main logistics routes for fuel supplies to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

“One of the reasons cited for the shortage is Ukrainian drone strikes on trucks on the highway connecting Crimea with the Rostov region. This highway runs through Mariupol and is one of the main routes for fuel supplies to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the report states.

Thus, the gasoline shortage in occupied Mariupol continues to worsen, which is already affecting not only transportation but also the functioning of certain services in the occupied territory.

This was reported by the Mariupol City Council on Telegram.

Restrictions on fuel sales remain in place in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol. The Russian-appointed “governor” of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev, stated that the free sale of gasoline will resume only in the afternoon.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the largest network of gas stations, “TES,” announced the suspension of gasoline voucher sales due to a fuel shortage. The company’s website states that this service is currently unavailable.

In several regions of Russia, particularly in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, restrictions on gasoline sales have been imposed due to a fuel shortage, while in the occupied territories, including Sevastopol and Luhansk Oblast, a ration card system and refueling limits have been introduced. Local residents are complaining about strict restrictions and fuel shortages.
