Ukraine plans to gradually increase the minimum pension through 2029
The Ukrainian government is considering a phased increase in the minimum pension as part of a long-term plan through 2029. Currently, the minimum pension is 2,595 hryvnias, and this amount may be revised in the future depending on the economic situation and budgetary constraints.
Currently, the minimum pension in Ukraine is 2,595 hryvnias. According to the declaration, the projected subsistence minimum amounts for 2027–2029 have been calculated taking into account the inflation rate for the respective year.
Thus, according to the government’s plan, the minimum pension over the next three years will be:
- in 2027 – 2,878 hryvnias;
- in 2028 – 3,134 UAH;
- in 2029 – 3,357 UAH.
The budget declaration is subject to further approval by the Verkhovna Rada.
