The SBU has recovered the deleted video of the assassination attempt on Yermolayev in Monaco

The Security Service of Ukraine has recovered deleted surveillance camera footage related to the attempted murder of businessman Vadym Yermolayev in Monaco on June 29. This was announced by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

According to Kravchenko, the perpetrators had installed the camera in advance near the crime scene to confirm that the contract had been carried out. The suspects attempted to destroy this evidence, but SBU specialists managed to recover the video footage.

“Thanks to the professional work of the Security Service of Ukraine’s specialists, we were able to recover one of the key pieces of evidence that the suspects tried to destroy,” Kravchenko said.

The restored video shows three people climbing the stairs, followed by an explosion. Then, a passerby picks up the camera and starts running.

The explosion in Monaco occurred on June 29 at around 9:00 p.m. Three people were injured, two of them very seriously. Sources from “Ukrainska Pravda” in business circles reported that the victims included Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev, who is subject to sanctions, and his relatives.

On July 3, Interpol issued an international arrest warrant for 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen Anastasia Berezovska. According to Monaco law enforcement, she was suspected of planting an explosive device that resulted in serious injuries to Yermolayev and his family. On July 7, it was reported that Berezovska had been found murdered and buried near Kyiv, and law enforcement authorities announced the arrest of two suspects in her murder.

Investigators suspect that the detained men may also have been involved in the attack in Monaco, as they have evidence of repeated transfers to Berezovska’s cryptocurrency and bank accounts. On July 9, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv remanded Vladislav Reut and Vitaly Zhikovich into custody without the right to bail. On July 16, Yermolayev accused Ukrainian intelligence of plotting against him and his family and asked for guarantees of their protection.
