Shmyhal discussed the unblocking of state-owned mine accounts with labor unions

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with leaders of coal industry labor unions. The Ministry of Energy reported that work is underway to unblock the accounts of state-owned mines. The issue was discussed during a meeting with representatives of miners’ unions.

What was discussed

The meeting focused on the operations of state-owned mines and support for the coal industry amid the war.

According to Shmyhal, a decision on unblocking the accounts of state-owned mines is currently being worked out together with the Ministry of Finance and members of parliament. 

What issues were raised

The meeting participants also discussed extending the state program to support mines in paying wages to employees.

Separately, they discussed job protection for workers regardless of the transfer of enterprises to the management of the State Property Fund.

In addition, the Ministry of Energy announced that it is preparing amendments to update the list of industries, professions, and positions to preserve employees’ rights to preferential pension benefits. 


Shmyhal spoke in Berlin about a turbine from the Nord Stream infrastructure.

As a reminder, the enemy is deploying small assault groups in the border area instead of sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

The State Border Guard Service also reported a decrease in the activity of enemy DRGs.
