Inspections of the National Police are underway in three regions
The leadership of the National Police of Ukraine has launched large-scale comprehensive investigations in the Zhytomyr, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions following allegations of illegal activities by local officials.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
Special task forces led by the agency’s deputy heads have already been dispatched to the regions to conduct a detailed analysis of the units’ operations.
The main goal of these measures is to completely purge the organization of dishonest employees and conduct a thorough audit of management activities.
The reason for these radical steps by the central administration was a high-profile arrest that took place the day before.
To ensure maximum objectivity and impartiality, specialists from various fields were brought in to assist with the process.
The inspection teams included employees from the General Inspection Department, the Internal Security Department, the Human Resources Department, and other relevant units.
They will not only examine financial documentation but also monitor the daily work of personnel on the ground.
The inspection aims to completely overhaul the operations of problematic regional departments and uncover hidden violations.
As noted by the police, "the purpose of the inspections is to comprehensively examine the activities of territorial units, assess the effectiveness of management decisions, ensure compliance with official discipline, and prevent corruption and abuse among personnel."
The results of the commissions’ work will determine further personnel changes and disciplinary actions.
