Sibiga called on partners to closely monitor the mobilization measures in Belarus
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga called on the international community to remain vigilant in light of the mobilization exercises currently taking place in the Grodno Region of Belarus.
According to Sibiga, from June 20 to July 2, activities involving approximately 2,000 conscripts and the deployment of assembly points are taking place in the Oshmyany District of Belarus. Although these exercises are officially described as a verification of registration data, the Ukrainian side views such actions as a means of exerting pressure and intimidating neighboring states.
The minister emphasized that Minsk continues to strengthen its military presence near the borders of Ukraine and NATO countries, and called on international partners to increase pressure on Alexander Lukashenko’s regime.
