A fatal accident on the Ring Road in Kyiv resulted in the death of the driver
Today, March 26, at around 10:00 a.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred on the capital’s Ring Road.
The Kyiv Police Communications Department has provided details of the incident.
The tragedy occurred near the Zhuliany Overpass, where two passenger cars collided.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the driver of a Fiat was traveling from Akademmistechko toward Odesa Square.
For reasons that have not yet been determined, the driver veered into oncoming traffic, leading to fatal consequences. There, a head-on collision occurred with a Renault traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact was so severe that the driver responsible for the maneuver had almost no chance of survival.
“As a result of the collision, the Fiat driver died at the scene from his injuries,” the police reported.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene of the accident. An investigative team, patrol officers, and ambulance crews are currently working there.
Traffic on this section of the Ring Road is currently significantly disrupted in both directions due to the ongoing investigation. Drivers are advised to expect traffic congestion and, if possible, choose alternative routes.
As a reminder, in the Kyiv region, a police officer struck a pedestrian; the victim has been hospitalized.
Additionally, a major traffic accident with injuries occurred on Beresteisky Avenue in Kyiv.
