A co-owner of Nova Poshta proposed revoking fuel licenses

Vladimir Poperechnyuk, co-owner of Nova Poshta, has called on the authorities to abolish licensing requirements for the retail sale and storage of fuel. In his view, such a decision would allow for the rapid opening of new fuel retail outlets, reduce the risk of fuel shortages, and avoid logistical problems amid Russian attacks.

Poperechnyuk noted that constant shelling of gas stations has created a need to decentralize the fuel sales network.

“Due to the constant shelling of our gas stations, there is an urgent need to decentralize and distribute fuel sales points. We need to quickly make it more difficult for the enemy to destroy our infrastructure and logistics,” he emphasized.

According to the co-owner of “Nova Poshta,” this involves opening a large number of new sales points—ranging from small mobile gas stations to the sale of fuel from barrels and canisters.

At the same time, he believes that current licensing rules and government regulation of the fuel market are hindering the rapid implementation of this plan.

“Entrepreneurs could handle this task in no time, but they are hindered by licensing requirements and regulations in the fuel sector. This creates the risk of a new fuel shortage and a collapse of logistics,” Poperechnyuk stated.

The entrepreneur proposed abolishing regulations and licenses for the retail sale and storage of fuel, at least in frontline regions, and ideally throughout all of Ukraine.

He wrote about this on Facebook.

In Zaporizhzhia, a drone struck a Nova Poshta branch, killing an employee.

In addition, Russian troops attacked Sumy with guided bombs, injuring an elderly woman. Damage to civilian infrastructure has been reported in the city, and emergency services are assessing the extent of the damage caused by the strike.

As a result of a massive Russian strike on the capital, a rented humanitarian warehouse belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross was completely destroyed; it had stored over 320,000 items of cargo and equipment with a total value of more than 79 million hryvnias

As a result of Russian shelling and a fire at one of the capital’s industrial facilities, fuel and lubricants flowed into Kyrylivskyi Lake in Kyiv through the storm sewer system.
