On April 15, 69-year-old Mykola Matveyenko, who drove 700 kilometers in a 43-year-old car carrying 18 chickens, a rooster, and his dog Zhule from the Chernihiv region to the Kirovohrad region, was presented with a new car. Oleg Gorokhovsky, co-founder of monobank, presented the new car to the elderly man, who had been stranded in Kyiv in his old car due to a breakdown.

The Ukrainian businessman shared this on social media.

“Mykola Mykhailovych with his new car! I bought a Peugeot Landtrek in the ‘LYUTY’ trim (fuel-efficient engine—fuel consumption will be the same as his ‘Zhiguli,’ or even lower). P.S. Thanks to Mykola for the thermos bag with homemade eggs, stewed meat, honey, and pike caviar—I’ll eat it all. An incredibly kind person,” Gorokhovsky wrote.

The head of the NBU commented on the scandal involving a Monobank client.

As a reminder, Gorokhovsky posted a photo of the client because of the “Russian flag.”

On March 25, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to summon National Bank Head Andriy Pyshnyy to report on the incident involving Monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky
