It has been revealed who has taken over as head of the Patrol Police following General Zhukov's resignation
Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Oleksandr Fatsievych will temporarily serve as acting head of the Patrol Police Department.
This was announced by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko during a meeting with media representatives.
The third-rank police general, while retaining his position as Deputy Head of the National Police—Head of the Patrol Police—will now directly oversee the relevant department.
The new head’s main task will be to completely reform and modernize the personnel training system.
The decision to strengthen the leadership was made in the wake of a high-profile incident in the Holosiivskyi district, where patrol officers left the scene of a terrorist attack.
The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized that the training system must become more rigorous and closer to real-world conditions.
“Whatever you call it—we must ensure that such shameful situations never happen again. Now, patrol officers will take turns living at training grounds,” stated Ihor Klymenko.
This approach is designed to instill psychological resilience and readiness to act in extreme circumstances among law enforcement officers.
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, an unknown assailant opened fire on people.
Journalist Vitaliy Glagola has released new details about the attacker who carried out the shooting in Kyiv.
