Stefanchuk met with President Vučić in Serbia
Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, began his official visit to Serbia with a meeting with the country’s President, Aleksandar Vučić. The two sides discussed the situation in Ukraine, humanitarian cooperation, interparliamentary relations, and European integration.
According to the Speaker of Parliament, he briefed the Serbian President on the consequences of the latest Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities, and outlined Ukraine’s needs, which remain critically important for the protection of the civilian population.
Separately, Stefanchuk thanked Serbia and the Serbian people for their humanitarian aid, support in rebuilding Ukraine’s energy sector, and assistance in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian children affected by the war.
During the talks, the parties also discussed the situation on the front lines, the prospects for the development of Ukrainian-Serbian relations, cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, and issues of European integration.
“Ukraine and Serbia are close countries that understand one another. That is why it is important for us to maintain an open political dialogue, develop cooperation, and strengthen trust between our nations,” Stefanchuk noted.


He also thanked Aleksandar Vučić for the meeting, for his attention to Ukraine, and for recognizing the courage of the Ukrainian people, who continue to fight for their freedom and independence.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Ankara for the NATO summit.
Today, July 7, the 36th NATO summit begins in Ankara and will last two days. Heads of state and government from all 32 NATO member countries, including U.S. President Donald Trump, will gather at the presidential complex.
