Lawmakers are demanding that Koretsky explain the appointment of the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation without a debate in the Verkhovna Rada
Members of the Verkhovna Rada’s Specialized Committee on Digital Transformation expressed concern over the appointment of Oksana Ferchuk as Minister of Digital Transformation without prior consultation with them.
The lawmakers supported the decision to send a letter to Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi demanding an explanation of the appointment process, and also decided to invite Oksana Ferchuk to a committee meeting to present her action plan.
Against the backdrop of the government reshuffle, the MPs emphasized the importance of maintaining the continuity of digital reforms, particularly in the areas of defense tech, anti-corruption services, and European integration.
At the same time, the committee reviewed the agenda for the 16th session of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation, removing draft laws from the previous Cabinet that had not been adopted in the first reading and are considered withdrawn.

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, headed by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi. The decision was supported by 264 members of parliament.
The Verkhovna Rada appointed Serhiy Koretsky as Prime Minister of Ukraine. His nomination was supported by 289 members of parliament.
