The court ordered that MP Marchenko be brought to the High Anti-Corruption Court hearing
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court issued an order for the compulsory appearance of MP Marchenko after she failed to appear at a court hearing without a valid reason.
According to the court’s press service, on June 8, a panel of judges deemed the defendant’s absence to be without valid cause and ordered her to be brought to court.
The case involves the consideration of appeals against the first-instance court’s verdict, which found the MP and her assistant guilty of abuse of influence committed by a group of individuals acting in concert.
The High Anti-Corruption Court noted that the defendant also failed to appear at the June 2 hearing, but the documents she provided confirmed that her absence was justified. At the same time, the court deemed her failure to appear on June 8 to be unjustified.
The next court hearing is scheduled for June 18, 2026.
