The court will consider appointing a state administrator for the Chervonohrad Central District Court

The court will consider appointing a state administrator for the Chervonohrad Central District Court

On May 18, the Commercial Court of Lviv Oblast is scheduled to consider the appointment of a restructuring administrator for PJSC “Lviv Coal Company,” whose decision will determine the future operations of the Chervonohrad Coal Preparation Plant. According to the lawmaker, the appointment is intended to serve the interests of the state.

This was stated by Ukrainian MP Mykhailo Bondar.

He noted that the fate of the enterprise, which has been idle for several months, hangs in the balance due to years of legal wrangling: the plant is not operating, wage arrears are accumulating, and the reorganization process has yielded no results for years.

Bondar recalled that in January, the court appointed arbitration manager Yurchenko as the new restructuring manager, but in April, the appellate court overturned this decision regarding his appointment. At the same time, various interest groups continue to battle over the company through their respective arbitration administrators, and “constant appeals, new complaints, and delays in proceedings are effectively blocking the possibility of normal management of the company.”

“That is precisely why it is now important for the court to issue a ruling that will allow the company to emerge from years of chaos and put an end to the constant manipulation surrounding the reorganization,” the deputy stated.

In his view, the focus should now be on appointing a state-appointed administrator who will work “in the interests of the state, the miners, and the stable operation of the entire production chain.” Bondar also emphasized that the Ministry of Energy must take on the coordination and responsibility for the future management model of the company ahead of the next heating season.

“Just in case, I’ll remind everyone involved: there’s no time left for this. The next winter is closer than it seems,” he reminded them.

As a reminder, the situation surrounding the Chervonohrad Central Processing Plant has escalated amid the protracted restructuring process of PJSC “Lviv Coal Company,” management issues, wage arrears, and the effective halt of production processes.

Earlier, the MP called on the Ministry of Energy to take responsibility for the Chervonohrad Central Coal Processing Plant.
