Legal disputes surrounding the Chervonohrad factory could disrupt preparations for winter

The Chervonohrad Central Coal Preparation Plant remains idle due to protracted legal proceedings, which could negatively impact preparations for the upcoming heating season. This was stated by Mykhailo Volynets, a member of parliament and chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine.

According to him, the court has postponed consideration of the issue regarding the replacement of the restructuring manager of PJSC “Lviv Coal Company” for the third time. The next hearing is scheduled for July 21.

Volynets recalled that back in April, the appellate court ruled that the appointment of the current restructuring manager was illegal; however, a final decision has not yet been issued.

The MP noted that the company has not resumed operations, wage arrears to employees have exceeded 25 million hryvnias, and production capacity continues to decline. According to him, the factory’s workers, miners, and residents of Sosnivka have effectively become hostages in the struggle for control over the enterprise.

Volynets called on state authorities to become more actively involved in resolving the situation and to ensure the resumption of operations at this strategically important facility.
