June 25 is Customs Officer Day in Ukraine

Every year, Ukraine’s Customs Officer Day is celebrated on June 25. The date is fixed and does not change from year to year. This holiday was officially established by Presidential Decree No. 251/2020. Since then, June 25 has been the sole official date for honoring customs service employees. In 2026, Customs Officer Day falls on Thursday, June 25.

The history of the holiday is directly linked to the beginning of Ukraine’s independence. It was on June 25, 1991, that the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law of Ukraine “On Customs Affairs in Ukraine.” This document served as the foundation for the creation of the young state’s own customs system.
