Zelenskyy: Belarus is preparing military infrastructure near the border with Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that, under Russian influence, Belarus continues to develop infrastructure near the Ukrainian border that could be used for a potential expansion of its aggression.
According to the president, construction of roads, ammunition storage facilities, and fuel and lubricant depots is nearing completion along the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. These include the Kobryn–Kovel, Ivanove–Manevychi, Luninets–Sarny, Rechitsa–Korosten, and Gomel–Chernihiv routes.
Zelenskyy noted that in Russian documents, these facilities are described specifically in the context of the objectives of the so-called “special military operation.”

The president emphasized that Ukraine has already sent Belarus the necessary signals regarding these activities and other forms of cooperation with Russia that contribute to the continuation of the war.

According to Zelenskyy, the Belarusian side knows what steps need to be taken to de-escalate the situation, and the development of military infrastructure near the Ukrainian border must be halted.
The head of state also reported that Ukrainian intelligence is documenting a deepening crisis involving fuel, military logistics, and governance in the temporarily occupied territories and in Russia. Furthermore, according to the Security Service of Ukraine, more than 80% of Russians expect a large-scale economic crisis, and 66% assess their financial situation as difficult.
