Three Russian informants face up to 12 years in prison for coordinating attacks
The Security Service of Ukraine has concluded its investigation into three agents who collected and passed on information to the occupying forces regarding the deployment of the Defense Forces in various regions of the country.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
Among those implicated is a foreign national who spied on military facilities using a hidden video recorder in her own car. While Russia continues to terrorize Ukrainian cities, law enforcement agencies are systematically exposing networks of informants who help the enemy target Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and critical infrastructure with missiles and drones.
In the Lviv region, the case of a citizen of a Central Asian country, who was detained in August 2025, has been referred to court. The investigation established that the suspect initially worked in Kyiv and later moved to western Ukraine, where she recorded the movement of military equipment and military bases. She sent the data she obtained via a messaging app to an acquaintance in Krasnodar linked to Russian intelligence services. Meanwhile, in the Poltava region, two local residents were exposed for using specially created Viber groups to disseminate the geolocations of checkpoints and the movement routes of Ukrainian defenders.
The detainees have been charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
disseminating information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law;
obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations;
illegal collection and dissemination of confidential personal information.
Indictments have already been filed with the court, and the defendants face lengthy prison terms with confiscation of property. The SBU emphasizes that any assistance to the aggressor in tracking the Armed Forces is a serious crime that inevitably leads to severe punishment. Efforts to identify enemy collaborators are ongoing throughout Ukraine to ensure the safety of military operations and the civilian population.
A Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier who directed Russian strikes on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region has been convicted.
As a reminder, the SBU detained a spotter for Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.
The SBU also exposed a Russian intelligence network that was planning terrorist attacks using teenagers.
