A bus driver who insulted military personnel and their families was fired in Chernivtsi
In Chernivtsi, the driver of Bus No. 14 was fired after making offensive remarks about Ukrainian soldiers and their families during a trip, as well as using profanity toward female passengers. This was reported by the Communications and Public Relations Department of the Chernivtsi City Council.
The city council noted that immediately after the incident, they contacted the bus company and described the driver’s behavior as completely unacceptable and contrary to social norms. Since the man was on probation, he was fired for failing to meet the requirements of his probationary period.
Meanwhile, police reported that, despite the absence of official complaints from citizens, law enforcement launched an investigation after discovering a video of the incident on social media.
Earlier, a video had circulated online in which the bus driver claimed that Ukrainian soldiers had allegedly ended up on the front lines “because of their own stupidity” and also spoke disparagingly about the defenders and their loved ones.
