Luxury real estate and a fleet of cars were found in the possession of the director of the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant – Bihus.Info

Taras Tkach, the head of the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant and a defendant in the “Midas” case, is linked to undeclared property near Kyiv, a penthouse in the capital, and a collection of luxury cars.

This is according to an investigation by Bihus.Info

Journalists found that a mansion has been built on the official’s land plot in the elite cottage community “Obriy Femeli Club” in Khodosivka; the property has not been officially commissioned and is not listed in real estate registries. According to investigators’ estimates, the cost of such a house at the time the plot was purchased in 2020 started at 11 million UAH, which equals the Tkach family’s total income over four years.

In addition to the suburban property, a 160-square-meter penthouse in the “Time” residential complex in Kyiv was registered in the official’s parents’ names between 2022 and 2025; it was sold a few weeks before the “Midas” case became public. Luxury cars were also registered in Tkach’s mother’s name, including a BMW X6 and a new BMW X7 worth over $140,000, in which the station head himself traveled abroad this year. In a comment, Tkach explained the origin of the family’s wealth as high incomes earned by his parents while working on the construction of a nuclear power plant in India; however, journalists calculated that these funds are insufficient to cover all of the family’s assets.

Taras Tkach’s name also appears in NABU materials regarding corruption schemes at Energoatom, where his appointment as director of the Rivne NPP was discussed. The official himself claims that the estate in Khodosivka remains unfinished due to land seizures, although drone footage shows the building to be fully inhabited with landscaped grounds. Currently, Taras Tkach continues to manage the strategic facility, despite the discrepancies found between his official income and his family’s actual lifestyle. Investigators highlight a probable connection between the period of active construction of the estate and the events that formed the basis of the criminal proceedings regarding abuses within the “Energoatom” structure.

Earlier, NABU confirmed that Mindich had planned his escape from Ukraine in advance.

Mindich, a figure in the “Energoatom” case, may be involved in the procurement of substandard body armor for the military.

Who is Timur Mindich and why is he involved in NABU cases?
