A scheme involving travel abroad through fraudulent parenthood has been uncovered in Dnipro
In Dnipro, law enforcement officials uncovered a scheme involving the illegal departure of conscripts abroad through the fraudulent registration of paternity.
According to the investigation, in 2023, a local woman with two children aged 10 and 5—who had been stripped of her parental rights regarding the younger child—agreed to register a man of draft age as the father of her child.
Afterward, the man, who already had his own family and a child, registered paternity for two more children, which gave him grounds to leave Ukraine during martial law. He left the country just one month later.
The scheme was uncovered in 2025 when a family approached the orphanage where the younger boy was staying with the intention of adopting him. During a document review, it was discovered that the child had a formally registered father.
The woman has been notified of suspicion of aiding in the illegal transportation of a person across Ukraine’s state border.
The issue of selecting a preventive measure for her is currently being decided. According to the law, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
As a reminder, in Chernivtsi, a car passenger refused to present documents during a check and injured a TCC servicemember. In response, non-lethal weapons were used.
In the Saltivsky district of Kharkiv, during a document check, a man carried out a knife attack on representatives of the TCC and the Special Police. As a result of the incident, two servicemen sustained injuries to the head and torso.
Law enforcement officers detained a local resident who, on February 1, opened fire on a TCC alert team in Vinnytsia.
