The State Border Guard Service assessed the current situation and threats along the border with Belarus
At this time, there are no reports of the formation or buildup of a strike force on Belarusian territory directly along the state border with Ukraine. The current situation in this area differs significantly from that on the border with Russia, where the risks of hostilities are considerably higher.
This was reported on air during a national telethon by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. At the same time, the official noted that the overall potential threat to our country from this direction remains fully intact.
The main destabilizing factor remains the constant political and military pressure from Russia on the Belarusian leadership aimed at forcing it to join the ongoing war, in particular by organizing large-scale armed provocations.
