Detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) conducted searches at the residence of Igor Dashutin, the head of the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court, as part of the “Themis” special operation.
According to journalists, the judge is linked to an investigation into possible interference in the work of the Supreme Court. During High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) hearings in the “Forest Gump” case, law enforcement officials recorded a discussion between Iryna Mudra, former deputy head of the Office of the President, and former MP Maksym Mykytas regarding possible influence on court decisions.
Dashutin had previously been in the spotlight due to his family’s assets. In particular, Bihus.Info reported that the judge lives with his wife in an upscale cottage community near Kyiv. Formally, the house was purchased by his mother-in-law.
The family business also drew attention. According to journalists, the judge’s cousin, Hryhorii Dashutin, continued to supply products from the “Nikmas” concern to Russia after the start of the full-scale war, some of which were used by the Russian military-industrial complex.
In addition, Dashutin faced criticism from civil society organizations over a series of court rulings, particularly regarding the confidentiality of information about judges and the awarding of firearms.
